Life is Grand.
Today, I’m feeling extremely encouraged. Encouraged by the goodness of God, the beauty of life, and the genuine gift and blessing that this life is, to all of us. We don’t deserve anything. We don’t even deserve the breath that comes into our lungs every three seconds. Every moment is a moment of mercy, a moment of grace from God.
I just wrote this morning in my journal (per usual). I reflected on so many fond memories I have: watching the sunrise at the beach with my mom and brother last year. Laughing until my stomach hurt with dear friends I’ve just made. Graduating college. Studying Scripture with women through the years. Impromptu dance parties and swing nights at the Orchard (my home in college).
Watching the sunrise with college friends during our beach week before graduation. Crying but receiving immense comfort from friends and clarity from God after having my heart broken. My morning cup of coffee, with Pumpkin Spice creamer. Delicious Christmas dinners with family through the years.
These are my precious moments. These are all blessed moments, gifts from above. I couldn’t be more thankful. This moment, a moment of reflection and gratitude, is exactly the kind of moment that propels my joy, fuels the adventures I now seek to have.
After pondering the fondest of memories I have, I wrote in my journal once more: “Life is grand. What a beautiful adventure.” Life is so full, so precious. Let’s not forget those moments, those fondest of memories. Because those are the things that make life, life. Life is worth the living!
